Using the automation potential report

A report showing which of your subjects could plausibly be automated. Useful as a starting point, not as a plan.

Open it

  1. Open the AI agents reporting.
  2. Find the automation potential view.
  3. Read the subjects it lists, with their volumes.
  4. Check each against what you know.

What it does

Looks at your incoming contacts, groups them by subject, and shows which are frequent and repetitive enough to be candidates.

It is answering "what do you get asked a lot", which is a real question and one most teams cannot answer precisely.

What it cannot know

Whether you have documented the answer, whether the answer is stable, and whether the customers asking are ones you want to meet software.

A subject can be highly repetitive and a poor candidate: cancellations are repetitive, and handing them to an AI agent is usually a commercial mistake.

Use it as a shortlist

Take the top handful, and for each ask three things: is there an article, is the answer the same every time, and is this a conversation we are happy to automate?

What survives all three is your actual list, and it is shorter than the report.

Read it for content gaps too

A frequent subject with no article is worth writing whether or not you automate it. Half the value of this report is as a knowledge base work list.

Re-run it after changes

Once the agent handles the top subjects, the shape of what arrives changes. The report is worth revisiting quarterly rather than once.
