Facebook recently announced some changes to their platform policies as well as a temporary policy review period. During this review period Facebook is not authorizing any integrations that request access to your Facebook Messages,* including our Zendesk Support and Message products. At this time they are not de-authorizing existing application integrations.
What this means for our customers
- If you have already enabled the Facebook integrations in our Zendesk Support or Zendesk Message products everything should continue to work as normal, unless Facebook makes another change in policy and decides to revoke access.
- You will not be able to authorize new Facebook integrations in Zendesk Support and Message. If the integration becomes de-authorized for any reason you will not be able to re-enable the integration.
We are in contact with Facebook and doing what we can to help enable this complete review of their policies and integrations to improve the security and trust of their platform. We apologize for the inconvenience and will provide more information when we have an update on the platform review from Facebook. Please click the Follow button to be alerted to article updates.
