Can Macro Date Tags also been used by other Zendesk Apps or Integration that use the Zendesk API?
The simple answer is no. It can only be used with the Zendesk Support interface active. This said there is one specific workflow supported when using the Zendesk Apps Framework with Macro Date. If your Zendesk App adds the Macro Date Tags to the Ticket using the set ticket.tags option in ZAF Macro Date should also be triggered. Macro Date will not be triggered if you are only applying the Macro via the REST API or adding the Tag to the ticket directly using the REST API.
