Zendesk can check spelling and grammar as agents type, in several languages. It is an account setting rather than a personal one.
Turn it on
- Open Admin Center.
- Go to the ticket settings for the Agent Workspace.
- Switch on spelling and grammar checking.
Once on, it applies to every agent. There is no per-agent choice, which is worth mentioning to the team rather than letting it appear unannounced.
What it catches
Spelling, and some grammar. It is not a style checker and it will not tell you that a sentence is unclear or that the answer misses the question. Treat it as a safety net for typos rather than a substitute for reading what you wrote.
Languages
The checker works in the language it detects. Agents writing to Dutch customers in Dutch and to others in English get both, without switching anything. Where it struggles is a reply mixing two languages, which it flags generously.
If it feels noisy
Product names, customer names and technical terms are the usual cause. There is no shared dictionary you can add to, so a team that writes a lot of jargon may find it more distracting than helpful. That is a fair reason to leave it off.
