Setting up notifications for suspended tickets

A daily summary of what was suspended turns a list nobody visits into something that gets looked at.

Set it up

  1. Open Admin Center, then Objects and rules, then Tickets, then Settings.
  2. Expand Assignments and notifications.
  3. Under suspended ticket notifications, choose how often they should arrive. Whatever you pick, remember the clock behind it: an unreviewed suspended ticket is deleted after fourteen days, so the frequency has to leave room for somebody to act before then.
  4. Enter the addresses that should receive it, separated by a space rather than a comma.
  5. Save.

The summary lists what was suspended and why, so most days it can be dismissed in a few seconds.

Who should get it

One or two people rather than the whole team. A notification everybody receives is a notification everybody assumes somebody else is handling.

Watch the volume, not the contents

The useful signal is a change. A day with three times the usual number means either a spam campaign or something wrong with your mail configuration, and both need looking at immediately.

A steady low number needs a glance. A spike needs attention.

What it does not do

It does not recover anything. Someone still has to open the list and act. The notification exists to make sure that happens, not to replace it.
