What ends up in your account, and where the authoritative answer about location and retention actually lives.

What is stored

  • Tickets: everything written, by customers and by agents, including internal notes.
  • Attachments: whatever people send, which is often more than they realise.
  • User records: names, addresses, phone numbers, and any custom fields you added.
  • Conversation history across messaging, email and calls.
  • Configuration and logs, including who changed what.

More than you designed

The fields you created are the part you planned. The rest is what customers typed and attached, and that routinely includes identity documents, bank details and photographs nobody asked for.

Any assessment of what your account holds has to account for that, not just the schema.

Where the answers live

Storage location, retention and processing are contractual matters. They are set out in your agreement and in your account's own settings, not in a feature screen, and some accounts hold a data centre location arrangement that fixes where data is stored.

For the position on your account specifically, ask pluscloud support and we will confirm it against your contract rather than from a general description.

Two things worth knowing anyway

Deleted is not immediately gone. There are recovery windows, which is usually reassuring and occasionally relevant to a deletion obligation.

Exports leave the platform. Once a file is downloaded, none of the platform's controls apply to it.

The practical step

Look at ten recent tickets and ask what is actually in them. That tells you more about your exposure than any policy document, and it usually surprises people.
