A suspended listing stops the connection, and only Google can lift it. What that looks like and what to do.
What you see
- Reviews for one location stop arriving, while other locations carry on.
- The location shows as deactivated in the channel integration.
- Reconnecting it does not hold.
Why it happens
Google suspends listings and disables accounts that it judges to be in breach of its content and conduct policies. That decision is Google's alone, and it can apply to a single location or to the account of the owner or manager.
While a location is suspended, the connection to Zendesk is deactivated. It can only be brought back once Google lifts the suspension.
What to do
- Check the location in your Google Business Profile to confirm it is suspended rather than merely unverified.
- Follow Google's reinstatement process. It is theirs, and there is no route to it through Zendesk.
- Once Google restores it, open the account under Channel apps and refresh the locations.
- Confirm a new review arrives before assuming it is fixed.
Do not delete and rebuild
Removing the location from the integration and adding it again does not help while the suspension stands, and it loses the connection settings you had.
Reviews written during the suspension
They are not queued up waiting. The app takes what arrives after the connection is live again, so anything from the suspended period stays on Google.
