Removing a workspace takes all of its reviews with it. Check what you lose before you do it.

Before deleting

  1. Export the reporting you want to keep.
  2. Move members to the workspace they belong in now.
  3. Check no assignment rules point at it.
  4. Then delete.

The history goes

Reviews, scores and the quality trend for that team. If anybody will ever ask how quality developed over the past year, export it first.

That question comes up more often than people expect, usually from somebody who was not part of the decision to delete.

Consider archiving instead

Where the option exists, leaving a workspace inactive keeps the history without it appearing in current reporting. That is usually what people want when they say delete.

Move people first

Members left in a deleted workspace stop being reviewed, and nothing announces it. Place them somewhere before removing it.

Why workspaces get deleted

Usually because too many were created at the start, one per team, and the standards drifted apart. Merging them is the right instinct.

Merge deliberately: agree the single scorecard first, then move people, then remove the empty workspace.

Scores will not be comparable

After a merge, before and after are measured against different scorecards. Say so on the reporting, or somebody will read the change as a shift in quality.
