Suite or separate products: what the difference is

Plan requirement

You can buy Zendesk as a bundle called Suite, or as separate products. The features are the same. What differs is what comes included.

Two ways to buy the same thing

A feature does not behave differently depending on how you bought it. A trigger is a trigger. What changes is whether you already have the product it lives in.

  • Suite bundles Support, Knowledge, Explore, Talk and messaging together. Five levels: Team, Growth, Professional, Enterprise and Enterprise Plus.
  • Support on its own gives you ticketing and little else. Three levels: Team, Professional and Enterprise. Knowledge, Explore and Talk are then bought separately if you want them.

Why our articles name both

Every article on this site opens with a plan requirement, and where a feature exists in both ways of buying, we name both. So you will see lines like this:

Suite Growth or higher, Support Professional or higher

Read that as: if you are on Suite you need Growth or above, and if you are on standalone Support you need Professional or above. You only need to match the one you actually have.

The levels are not aligned across the two. Suite Growth and Support Professional are not the same tier of product, they are simply the points at which a given feature switches on. Do not assume that because something needs Growth on Suite it needs the second level everywhere.

Which one you are on

Admin Center shows this on one page, together with any add-ons. Worth checking before you plan a change, because the answer decides which of our articles apply to you.
