Which workspace people land in. Small setting, and it decides where new members go by default.
Change it
- Open the account settings in Quality Assurance.
- Set the default workspace.
- Save.
- Add somebody and confirm where they land.
Why it matters
Somebody added without a workspace being chosen ends up in the default. If that is the wrong one, they are reviewed against a scorecard for work they do not do.
The scores are then meaningless and, worse, they feel unfair to the person receiving them.
Point it at your largest team
The one most new people belong to. Then the common case is right without anybody thinking, and only exceptions need attention.
Or point it somewhere harmless
An alternative is a workspace with no active assignment rules, so somebody landing there receives no reviews until they are placed properly.
Slower, and it fails visibly rather than silently, which is usually the better trade.
Check it after reorganisations
The default was set when the structure looked different. It is exactly the setting nobody revisits.
Watch where new people actually go
For the first few new starters after any change. That confirms the setting does what you intended, which reading it does not.
