x-hoppers connects your shop floor on one always-on audio channel, with headsets, smart call points and AI alerts feeding into it.
What x-hoppers is made of
Four pieces work together. You do not need all of them on day one.
- Headsets. Every associate wears one. They all sit on a single broadcast channel, so a question asked once is heard by everyone who can answer it.
- Smart call points. A printed QR code or a tablet in the aisle. A customer scans it and the team hears that someone needs help in that department.
- The x-hoppers app. Managers and back-office staff join the same channel from a phone or desktop, without wearing a headset.
- Analytics. How long requests wait, which call points get used, how each store performs.
Wildix desk phones can sit alongside this for roles that need a fixed phone, such as a service desk.
Who needs what
- Associates need only the headset. It handles the broadcast and incoming calls, including external ones, so no desk phone is required.
- Head office can listen in without one. Anyone on the x-hoppers app joins the same broadcast from a phone or desktop and can speak to the floor.
- Visitors and temporary staff can use a headset through the guest login, without an Employee ID.
Which plan each person needs
x-hoppers licences per person, and the plan follows the job rather than the department.
| Plan | Who it is for |
|---|---|
| x-hoppers Device | SIP devices only. |
| x-hoppers BackOffice | Staff without direct customer contact. Internal chat and conferencing. |
| x-hoppers HelperHopper | Customer-facing staff who need integrations, a contact-me link, the scheduler and a website widget. |
| x-hoppers SalesFloorHopper | The same, for associates working with a DECT headset. |
| x-hoppers SalesFloorHopper + AI | Adds AI prompts. |
| x-hoppers SuperHopper + AI | AI prompts plus Live Dashboard, Analytics and Revenue Intelligence, for people who do not wear a headset. |
The licence name you assign is not always the one you ordered. Users on x-hoppers HelperHopper and on x-hoppers SalesFloorHopper + AI must be given the x-hoppers SalesFloorHopper license type in WMS. This is the most common x-hoppers setup mistake.
Getting a store live
- Assign plans. In WMS, go to Users, edit each user and set the License type.
- Charge the headsets. A headset joins the broadcast the moment it is lifted off its charging station, so charge them before the first shift.
- Decide how associates log in. Either an administrator assigns headsets in x-hoppers admin, or associates log in themselves by speaking their Employee ID. Voice authentication has to be switched on by an administrator first.
- Place your smart call points. Start with the departments where customers most often stand waiting.
- Brief the team. Push-to-talk, handsfree and how to accept a request. That is nearly all an associate needs on day one.
