The Attachment Manager app

One sidebar for every file on a ticket. It is the successor to four separate apps, the former Attachment Library, Attachment Restriction, Attachment Tagger and Redact Attachments, so anything you remember from those lives here now.

This app is being discontinued on 21 October 2026, and it has not been downloadable since April 2026. Support for it ended in June. That matters more here than for most, because this app replaced four earlier ones: everything those did disappears with it. If attachment restriction or redaction is part of how you handle files, the answer is that you no longer need an app for it: Zendesk says its own attachment handling fully matches what this app does, redaction included, and it adds settings for which file types are allowed.

Use it

The app can no longer be downloaded, so this covers the accounts that still have it. Open a ticket with attachments and the app sits in the app sidebar.

Three features in one panel

All attachments Every file across the whole conversation, in one list.
Restricted attachments What the restriction rules have held back.
Library Files you keep to reuse rather than files this customer sent.

Knowing they are separate saves confusion: a file missing from All attachments may be sitting under Restricted attachments rather than gone.

Where it helps

A long ticket with files scattered through twenty messages. Scrolling to find the second screenshot the customer sent is exactly the friction this removes, and warranty claims, damage reports and anything document-heavy benefit most.

It shows what is there

Which is occasionally a surprise. Tickets accumulate files nobody remembers, and seeing them listed is how you notice that a customer sent something sensitive three messages ago: an identity document, a bank statement, a photograph of a card.

Spotting them is half the job and redacting them is the other half. The app makes the first half quick, which is the only reason the second half ever happens.
