One installation searches one help centre, so more than one means installing the app more than once.
How to do it
Install the app once for each help centre or brand you want to search. Each installation is configured on its own and appears separately to the agent.
Why it works that way
An installation holds one configuration, and the help centre it searches is part of that configuration. There is no list of several inside one installation.
What it looks like for the agent
Several copies of the app in the editor, one per source. Name each installation after what it searches, or an agent has to open each one to find out which is which.
Where it becomes unwieldy
Two or three is fine. Beyond that the editor fills up with apps and the agent spends longer choosing where to search than reading the answer.
If you are heading that way, it is worth asking whether all those help centres should stay separate.
They still have to be public
Each of them, individually. An extra installation does not get past a sign-in on the other end.
