Allow the Zendesk domains in WMS

Four domains have to be allowed in your phone system before the Zendesk app can reach it. All four, or it half works in ways that are hard to diagnose.

Add them

  1. Open WMS and go to PBX > Security > CORS.
  2. Type each of the four entries below and click + to add it.
  3. Click Save.

The asterisk is deliberate: the list accepts patterns, and each of these covers a family of addresses rather than one.

The domains

https://*.zendesk.com Zendesk itself.
https://*.apps.zdusercontent.com Where Zendesk serves app content from.
https://*.pluscloud.app Our side of the integration.
https://*.appspot.com The hosting the app runs on.

All four, or the app half works in ways that are hard to diagnose.

Why it is needed

A browser will not let a page from one address talk to a system at another unless that system says it is allowed. This list is your phone system saying so, and it exists to keep everyone else out.

The same list governs more than the browser. Any web or PBX API integration stops working if its domain is missing, and on current WMS versions it also controls access to call recordings, voicemail and faxes.

You do not need to add the Wildix portal or the browser extension. Those are built in.

What it looks like when one is missing

The app loads, the buttons are there, and nothing happens when you press them. No error the agent can act on, because the refusal happens between the browser and the phone system.

If calling from Zendesk fails and Collaboration is definitely open and signed in, this list is the next thing to check.

If you filter outbound traffic too. Where a firewall restricts what your network may reach, four addresses have to be open for the Wildix microservices: 3.122.16.10, 3.122.188.91, 3.122.21.65 and 3.122.78.100. A blocked one produces the same silence as a missing domain, so it is worth ruling out at the same time.

Check it after any change

A new Zendesk subdomain or a rebuilt PBX can lose these. It costs a minute to look and rather longer to work out from the symptoms.
