Connect a nurse call system to W-AIR handsets so alarms reach staff wherever they are, not just at a panel.
What the integration does
A call from a room reaches the handset of whoever is responsible, with the room identified. Staff acknowledge from the handset, so colleagues know it is being handled.
The point is that alarms follow people rather than requiring someone to be near a station.
This is a safety-critical system. Design, installation and testing are carried out by us together with your nurse call supplier. Nothing here is self-service, and changes to alarm routing must never be made ad hoc.
What has to be decided
Before anything is built, agree:
- Which handset receives which room, and in which order
- What happens when nobody acknowledges within a set time
- Where the escalation goes at night or at low staffing
- How a handset that is flat or out of range is covered
That last one matters more than it sounds. A cordless handset can be uncharged, and the design has to assume it sometimes will be.
W-AIR handsets for care settings
- W-AIR Med. A surface that survives regular cleaning.
- W-AIR LifeSaver. Adds a man-down alarm and an emergency button for staff working alone.
Coverage is part of safety
In a care setting, a dead spot is not an inconvenience. Coverage design, and testing it after any building change, is part of the installation rather than an afterthought.
Getting started
Tell us which nurse call system you use and we will work through what is possible with you and your supplier.
