Tell your phone system about a public holiday or a day you close, so callers hear the right message instead of ringing an empty office.

Add a closing day

  1. In WMS, go to Dialplan > Timetables.
  2. Open the timetable the closure applies to.
  3. Add the date as an exception, so it overrides the normal weekly pattern.
  4. Save.

On that date the system treats you as closed, whatever the usual hours say.

Half days

Closing early on Christmas Eve is not a full closure. Add the date with the shortened hours rather than as a full closing day, so the morning still works normally.

Do it in advance

Public holidays are the calls nobody plans for. Put a year of them in at once, at the start of the year, rather than remembering each one the week before. It takes ten minutes and removes a recurring surprise.

Check every timetable, not just the main one. Teams with their own hours have their own timetables, and a holiday added to one does not apply to the others.

What callers hear

Outside your open periods, calls follow whatever you set for closed hours: a message, a voicemail box, or an IVR with different options. Want a specific holiday message rather than your standard closed one? Record it and send it to us in good time, and we will load it for you.
