A timetable tells your phone system when you are open, so callers hear the right thing at the right time of day.

Create a timetable

  1. In WMS, go to Dialplan > Timetables.
  2. Click Add and name it after what it describes, such as office hours or support hours.
  3. Add a period for each block of time you are open. Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 is one period; a Saturday morning is a second.
  4. Save.

Anything not covered by a period counts as closed. You describe when you are open, not when you are shut.

Splitting the day

If you close over lunch, use two periods rather than one long one: 09:00 to 12:30 and 13:30 to 17:00. Callers in between then hear your closed message instead of ringing an empty office.

More than one timetable

Different teams often keep different hours. Sales until 18:00, support until 17:00, the warehouse from 07:00. Make a timetable per team rather than trying to fit everyone into one, and point each call group at its own.

Name timetables after the team, not the times. support hours stays accurate when the hours change; 9 to 5 does not.

Time zone

Timetables follow the time zone of your phone system. If you have colleagues in another country, their local hours will not match, so give them their own timetable.
