Plan requirement

Possible, and it touches more than you expect: forwarding, integrations, sign-on. What breaks, and what to prepare first.
Change it
- Open the account settings in Admin Center.
- Change the subdomain.
- Update everything in the list below.
- Test signing in, receiving email and the help centre.
What stops working
- Email forwarding, which points at the old address.
- API integrations and webhooks, everywhere the address is written down.
- Single sign-on, where the address is part of the configuration.
- Bookmarks and saved links, for every agent.
- Host mapping, if your help centre runs on your own domain.
Make the list first
Everywhere the current address appears: mail forwarding rules, integrations, scripts, documentation, the signature block in your email templates. That list is the work, and compiling it afterwards means finding items by discovering they are broken.
The old address does not stay yours
Once released it can be taken. If there is any chance of wanting it back, that is a reason to be certain before changing.
Do it when it is quiet
Not on a Monday morning. Something in the list will have been missed, and you want time to find it without a full queue.
Tell everybody first
Agents, and any team with an integration. A changed address that arrives unannounced looks exactly like an outage.
Ask us first if you are unsure
Contact pluscloud support before making the change and we will go through what it touches in your setup.
