Handle calls and customer requests on the shop floor

Answer a phone call, accept a request from the shop floor, and get back to the broadcast, all from the headset.

Answer an incoming call

You hear "Incoming call". Double-press Push-to-talk to answer. Doing so puts you on hold in the broadcast, so your colleagues do not hear the customer conversation.

As on the broadcast, your microphone starts muted. Hold Push-to-talk to speak to the caller, or double-press Mute for handsfree if you need both hands.

Accept a customer request

When someone scans a smart call point, you hear a notification. Double-press Push-to-talk to accept it. The system then announces to everyone that you are handling it.

Accept before you walk over, not after. The announcement is what stops three colleagues converging on the same customer.

Confirming a broadcast message

Some announcements are sent with confirmation required, for example a stock change everyone needs to know. Double-press Push-to-talk to confirm you heard it.

Notice the pattern: double-press Push-to-talk accepts whatever is in front of you. A call, a customer request, or a message to confirm. One gesture, three situations.

Getting back to the broadcast

Ending the call returns you to the shared channel automatically. You do not need to rejoin.

While you are with a customer

Double-press Push-to-talk to mute the incoming audio for 60 seconds. You stay on the channel and colleagues can still reach you, but the chatter stops while you are talking to someone face to face.
