CLASSOUND is the Wildix global calling service. Here is what it adds, and when you need it.
What it is
CLASSOUND is Wildix's own carrier service, an alternative to our Multi Carrier Trunks. It comes in two levels, Core and Pro.
If you run x-bees or x-hoppers, you almost certainly have it. CLASSOUND comes as standard with those products. On Collaboration you are more likely to be on our Multi Carrier Trunks.
What each tier includes
Core comes with every UC subscription from Essential upwards. Per subscription it carries 500 minutes of national calling inside the CTA 1 countries, 100 outbound text messages, and Instant Virtual Porting. International calls, even to a CTA 1 country, are charged per minute.
Pro, which older paperwork calls CLASSOUND Flat, replaces Core rather than adding to it. It brings 5,000 minutes of international calling inside CTA 1 per subscription, 200 text messages with replies rather than one-way only, and three things Core cannot do at all.
Four reasons to be on Pro rather than Core
- International calling that comes out of an allowance rather than off the meter, as long as you are calling a CTA 1 country.
- Two-way text messaging. On Core, texts go out and replies do not come back. And outgoing text on Core is switched off until somebody enables it on the system, which is our side of the fence rather than yours: ask us and we will turn it on.
- teams4Wildix. The Microsoft Teams integration needs Pro, in either of its modes. Core is not enough for it in any configuration.
- The Integrations Hub, and with it the two hundred or so CRM and business system connectors.
What CLASSOUND adds beyond calling
- Spoofed call blocking on inbound
- eSIM for mobile use on the same service
- Emergency calling compliance in the regions it covers
- Branded calls, so your company name shows on the recipient's phone. This is a Pro feature and currently covers the United States and Germany
Messaging is a separate question
WhatsApp and RCS are not CLASSOUND features at any tier. They come with x-bees and x-hoppers, which already include CLASSOUND, so you do not buy a tier to get them. What you do need is the right subscription and the number itself enabled.
The x-bees plan comparison lists SMS and WhatsApp against Standard and SuperBee. That is about access. Plan and service are two separate things.
Getting it
CLASSOUND is added to your system by us. Send us a request saying what you want to do with it, and we will tell you whether Core or Pro fits. It is a paid service, so we confirm what it adds to your agreement before activating it.
