Support on its own starts far cheaper than Suite. Whether it stays cheaper depends on how many of the other products you end up wanting.
The starting figures
From the Zendesk pricing page in August 2026, per agent per month billed annually: Support Team at EUR 19, Suite Team at EUR 55. Standalone Support looks like a third of the price, and for a team that genuinely only needs email ticketing, it is.
What Suite includes that Support does not
Suite bundles the other products: Knowledge for your help centre, Explore for reporting, Talk for phone, and messaging. Standalone Support is ticketing, and each of those is bought separately if you want it.
So the real comparison is not Support against Suite. It is Support plus whatever you add against Suite.
When standalone Support is right
- Email is your only channel and will stay that way.
- You do not need a public help centre.
- Your reporting needs are met by what Support shows you.
That describes a real set of organisations, usually small internal desks.
When Suite wins
The moment you want a help centre and reporting, which is most organisations within their first year. Self-service is also the thing that reduces ticket volume, so the product that looks like an extra cost is often the one that lowers the others.
Switching later
Moving from Support to Suite is a subscription change rather than a migration. Nothing is rebuilt and no data moves. That makes starting on Support a lower-risk choice than it sounds, provided you do not build habits around not having a help centre.
This one is genuinely worth asking about. Tell us which channels you use and what you need to report on and we will tell you which of the two actually works out better for you. It is not always the obvious one.
