A Singapore number as your caller ID gets filtered by local operators. An international number arrives normally.
The rule
Calls to Singapore that present a Singapore number as caller ID are filtered or blocked by local operators. Some get through, and none of them are guaranteed to.
Present an international number instead and the call is delivered normally, with the number intact.
Why it is worth taking seriously
"Might succeed" is the difficult part. A test call that connects proves nothing, because the next hundred may not, and there is no error that tells you a call was filtered rather than unanswered.
A campaign built on a local number can therefore look like it is working while most of it quietly disappears.
What to do
Use an international caller ID for anything going to Singapore. If presenting a local number is important to how you want to appear, that is a conversation to have before you rely on it.
This is agreed with the operators
The filtering is how the local operators want it, not a limit at our end. No provider can route around it.
