After activation, AI Agent Preview sends pluscloud who uses it, on which Zendesk plan and when. Your test conversations stay in your browser. pluscloud uses the data to help you get started and to send you tips that fit your account.
Effective date: 10 October 2026
What the extension sends
From the moment you activate the extension, it sends pluscloud:
- About you: your name and email address in Zendesk, your Zendesk user ID, your role (such as admin or agent) and your subdomain.
- About your Zendesk account, at activation and at most once a day: account ID, name, country, time zone, languages, sandbox and creation date; the plan per product (Support or Suite, chat, voice, AI and others), the number of agent seats, trial, suspended and renewal date; active features and the AI, voice and chat settings; the number of brands.
- When you use it: the activation, a session in the AI agents dashboard (at most once every 12 hours per account) and an opened preview (at most once an hour per account and channel), with the channel and whether it was a test or a logged conversation.
- When you use the Web Widget inspector: the Zendesk account behind the widget of a website you inspect, at most once a day per account, without your name, email address or the website's address. The event that you opened the inspector, at most hourly per account, is linked to you only when you are signed in to that account or its AI agents dashboard.
- About widgets you preview or inspect: the Web Widget build and feature flags (on and off switches that Zendesk publishes) of that account, only when they changed since your browser last sent them, stored with the account and not linked to you.
- Technical details: the extension version and your browser language.
- Approximate location: your IP address reaches Customer.io with every request, and Customer.io derives an approximate location from it: city, postal code, region, country, coordinates of that area and time zone.
- Your choices: which version of the terms you accepted and when, and your newsletter choice with the time and the wording you saw.
The extension reads the account information with your own access in Zendesk. Part of it, such as the subscription, is only readable for admins; for other users it is left out. Payment and billing details are never sent.
On dashboard.ultimate.ai the extension cannot see a Zendesk account, so it sends nothing from there. What the extension reads and keeps in your browser without sending it is in What the extension can access and store.
What pluscloud does with it
pluscloud uses the data to support you, to match onboarding emails and tips to your role and to your account's plan and features, to see which versions and channels are in use, and in which countries and regions, to know for which Zendesk accounts the inspector is used, and to follow Zendesk's widget changes per account to keep the preview and the inspector accurate. pluscloud never receives your test conversations, AI agent content, conversation logs or customer data. pluscloud does not sell data or use it for advertising. The extension does not track your browsing or send website addresses.
Tips by email and the newsletter
Everyone who activates the extension receives onboarding emails: tips for using it, matched to the plan and features of the account. They are service messages about the extension you use. Each email has a link to turn them off, and nothing else changes when you do.
The newsletter, with news about Zendesk AI agents, is separate. You only receive it if you ticked Also send me pluscloud's newsletter, with news about Zendesk AI agents when you activated the extension, or turned it on later on the options page.
Where the data is kept
pluscloud stores the data in Customer.io, which processes it for pluscloud under a data processing agreement and also sends the emails. Customer.io is based in the United States; the transfer is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Usage data and account information are kept as long as you, or someone else from your account, use the extension, and up to 24 months after the last use. A newsletter subscription is kept until you unsubscribe.
Changing your choices
On the options page (All settings in the extension's window), under Activation and privacy:
- Clear the box Newsletter to with your email address to stop the newsletter, or tick it to start it. Every newsletter also has an unsubscribe link.
- Deactivate stops all data and turns the preview off until you accept the terms again. Removing the extension from Chrome also stops all data.
Onboarding emails stop with the link in any of them. To have your data deleted, or to see, correct or get a copy of it, email help@pluscloud.nl. The full texts are in the privacy policy and the terms of use of AI Agent Preview.
