Hotel integration with the FIAS protocol

Connect your property management system so room phones follow check-in and check-out without anyone touching the phone system.

What the integration does

Wildix speaks the FIAS protocol, which most property management systems use. Once connected, the phone system reacts to what happens at the front desk:

  • Check-in activates the room phone and puts the guest's name on it
  • Check-out deactivates it and clears the name
  • Call charges are posted to the room account
  • Room status can be updated from the room phone by housekeeping
  • Wake-up calls can be set from the front desk or the room

Why it is worth it

Without it, someone at reception maintains room phones by hand, and the errors show up as guests who cannot dial out, or as charges on the wrong room. The integration removes a task nobody enjoys and a class of complaint nobody wants.

One subscription per system

The FIAS integration needs a UC-Premium subscription, and one per system is enough. It is not per room. If you do not already hold one, it is a paid addition.

Setting it up

The connection spans your phone system and your property management system, and the details depend on which PMS you run. This is not a self-service setup.

Tell us which PMS you use and we will confirm what is needed on both sides.

Blocking outbound calls from rooms

Which numbers a room phone may dial is controlled through call restrictions on our side. Tell us what you want blocked, for example international or premium rate numbers, and we will configure it.
