Wildix licences per user. Which plan someone needs depends on what they do in a day, not on which product you bought.
How Wildix licensing works
Every user on your PBX holds one subscription plan, and that plan decides which features they can reach. Someone who only makes and takes calls does not need the same plan as someone who runs the Live Dashboard.
Two things are worth knowing up front.
- Plans are per user and mix freely. One PBX can run every plan type side by side, and you can move a user from one to another whenever you like.
- Your PBX runs on one product family. Collaboration, x-bees or x-hoppers. That decides which plan names apply to you.
The three product families
Collaboration (Legacy and Collaboration 7)
| Plan | Who it is for |
|---|---|
| UC-Basic | Telephony only. Unattended phones, fax machines, door phones, hotel rooms. No chat or presence. |
| UC-Essential | People who use Collaboration 7 on web or mobile and need presence and chat. |
| UC-Business | Creating conference rooms, conversations with external users, being reachable through Kite, WebAPI and TAPI integrations, being monitored by x-caracal, and webinars. |
| UC-Premium | CDR-View 2.0, voicemail transcription to email, x-caracal access, managing call groups, Wallboard, and the FIAS and ESPA integrations. |
Everyone can join a video conference. Only users on UC-Business or higher can create a room.
x-bees
| Plan | Who it is for |
|---|---|
| x-bees Device | Unattended phones and W-AIR handset users. Telephony only. |
| x-bees Basic | Back-office staff who do not deal with customers. |
| x-bees Standard | Sales and support. Personal contact-me links, meeting scheduler, and CRM integrations such as Salesforce and HubSpot. |
| x-bees SuperBee | Supervisors and managers. Live Dashboard, Analytics, Revenue Intelligence, and configuring website widgets. |
A PBX on the x-bees subscription still gives users access to Collaboration. The reverse is not true.
x-hoppers
| Plan | Who it is for |
|---|---|
| x-hoppers Device | SIP devices only. |
| x-hoppers BackOffice | Staff without direct customer contact. Internal chat and conferencing. |
| x-hoppers HelperHopper | Customer-facing staff who need integrations, a contact-me link, the scheduler and a website widget. |
| x-hoppers SalesFloorHopper | The same, plus agents working with a DECT headset. |
| x-hoppers SalesFloorHopper + AI | Adds access to AI prompts. |
| x-hoppers SuperHopper + AI | AI prompts plus Live Dashboard, Analytics and Revenue Intelligence, for people who do not need a DECT headset or the broadcast channel. |
Watch out for this one. Users on x-hoppers HelperHopper and on x-hoppers SalesFloorHopper + AI must be given the x-hoppers SalesFloorHopper license type in WMS. The name on your agreement and the name you assign are deliberately different. This is the most common x-hoppers licensing mistake.
Add-ons that are licensed separately
- x-caracal. Lightweight ACD statistics. One subscription per system, not tied to a user. Needs at least ten UC-Business or UC-Premium plans plus one UC-Premium.
- MS-PhoneSystem. An option inside teams4Wildix so users can dial from the Teams Calls tab. One per system. It also needs Microsoft 365 licences on your side.
- Wizywebinar. Needed on top of UC-Business for webinar functionality.
- AI+Data Boost. Company data storage, transcriptions and voice agents. Also required to extend how long Cloud Analytics keeps your data.
- CLASSOUND. Core or Pro, with services ordered per number: new DID, full porting, outbound only, or new freephone.
- Service. No SIP registration and no login anywhere. For Park Orbit users, virtual users, and the Identities feature.
The smallest plan that fits is not always the cheapest outcome. Licences come in volume tiers, so putting more people on the same plan can work out better than splitting them across three types. Which combination suits you depends on your numbers, and it changes as you grow. Tell us who needs what and we will work it out with you. Helping you land on the right mix is part of what we do, so ask rather than guess.
Changing a plan: what you do, and what we do
You do this yourself
Assigning a licence your PBX already has to a different user:
- In WMS, go to Users.
- Edit the user.
- Set the License type field.
This takes effect immediately, as long as you have a free licence of that type.
We do this for you
Anything that changes which licences your PBX has, rather than who holds them:
- Adding licences, or more of a type you already have
- Upgrading or downgrading a plan type
- Activating x-caracal, CLASSOUND, AI+Data Boost, Wizywebinar or MS-PhoneSystem
- Moving a PBX from a Collaboration plan to x-bees
Need a licence you do not have yet? Send us a request and we will arrange it. Licences and add-ons are paid additions, so we confirm what changes for your agreement before activating.
