Article lists show a cut of your knowledge base that your section structure does not: by label, by date, by activity.
Add one
- Open the theme's code editor.
- Add an article list to the template you want it on.
- Set what it selects and how it sorts.
- Preview, then publish the theme.
Why they exist
An article lives in exactly one section, and readers arrive with more than one question in mind. A list is a second route to the same content without duplicating it.
Where they earn their place
- Recently updated, on the home page, for returning readers.
- Everything for one product, pulled together by label from wherever it sits.
- Most viewed, which surfaces the answers people actually come for.
A list is only as good as its labels
A list built on a label shows exactly the articles carrying that label, including none of the ones somebody forgot to label. Where a list looks thin, check the labelling before rebuilding the list.
Two, maybe three
Every list on a page competes with the page's main purpose. A home page carrying five lists has no first thing to read.
