Arrange Articles moves and orders content by dragging, across the whole knowledge base at once.

Use it

  1. Open Arrange Articles from your help centre.
  2. Drag articles within a section to reorder them.
  3. Drag them between sections to move them.
  4. Reorder sections and categories the same way.
  5. Check the result on the live pages.

Why this and not the article settings

Because restructuring is comparative. You are deciding what belongs where by looking at everything together, which is exactly what opening thirty articles one at a time prevents.

Fifteen minutes here does what an afternoon of individual edits does.

Two things it does not change

  • Visibility. An article keeps its own setting when it moves, so it can land in a public section and stay invisible.
  • Links. Addresses contain the article ID, so moving an article does not break links to it.

The first of those is the one that catches people out. After any restructure, check the visibility of what you moved.

Do it in one sitting

Readers see each change as you make it. A half-finished reorganisation is live, so plan the shape first and then execute it, rather than exploring in public.
