Yes, as guests. They join a conversation in the browser without an account, an install or a subscription.
How they get in
Someone on your system invites them into a conversation, or they use a personal contact-me link or a website widget. Either way they land in the browser and verify an email address once.
That verification is what keeps the thread alive, so they can return later and find the same conversation.
What they can do
Chat, join video conferences, add other people to the same conversation, and see the threads they took part in.
What they cannot see
Only what they were invited to. Your internal channels, your colleagues list and your call history stay invisible.
The catch is on your side
Guests need nothing. The person inviting them needs x-bees Standard or higher. That is usually why someone cannot add a customer to a conversation.
