Call from the dialpad, from a conversation or with one click on a web page, and move a call between your devices.
Three ways to start a call
- The dialpad. Type a name, extension or number. Search covers colleagues, your phonebooks and, if a CRM is connected, your CRM contacts.
- From a conversation. Call the person you are already messaging, without looking them up again.
- From a web page. The Chrome extension turns phone numbers on any page into clickable links.
Make a call
- If your company has more than one outbound number, pick the caller ID in the dialpad first. That choice applies everywhere, including your desk phone, so check it if a customer says they saw an unexpected number.
- Type a name, extension or number, or start the call from the conversation you are already in.
- Dial.
Move a call to another device
Answer on your laptop and continue on your mobile without hanging up. In the mobile app, a handset icon marks a call that is currently running on the web version. Tap that icon, either in the Inbox or on the call screen, and the call continues on your phone.
Useful when you need to leave your desk mid-conversation, and it works the other way round too: a call that seems to have vanished from your laptop is usually still live on the device you moved it to.
Concurrent calls
How many calls you can have at once depends on your plan: two on x-bees Device, four on Basic, eight on Standard and SuperBee.
After the call
With Keep Call Dialog after the call switched on, the call window stays open when the other person hangs up, so you can log the outcome, create a task, add the caller to a phonebook or push them to your CRM. Doing it there takes seconds; doing it later usually means not at all.
No sound, or nobody can hear you? Check the microphone permission in your browser first. x-bees runs in Chrome, and a blocked microphone looks exactly like a broken call.
