Look at the label on the back. The model name tells you which generation you have and which instructions apply.
Two generations
Wildix desk phones come in two families, and the difference matters because menus and firmware differ.
| Generation | Models |
|---|---|
| Current, since 2024 | Start 5, WorkForce 5, ForcePro 5, WelcomeConsole 5, SuperVision 5 |
| Previous | Start, WorkForce, WelcomeConsole, WP410, WP480G, WP600ACG, Vision, SuperVision |
The giveaway is the 5 in the name. A WorkForce 5 is current; a WorkForce is the earlier model.
Which is which
- Start 5. The basic desk phone. Calling, no frills.
- WorkForce 5. The everyday phone for most desks.
- ForcePro 5. For people on the phone all day, with more keys.
- WelcomeConsole 5. Reception. Built for transferring calls quickly and seeing who is free.
- SuperVision 5. Touchscreen, video capable, for managers and meeting rooms.
Where to look
The model name is printed on the label on the underside, next to the MAC address. That MAC address is also what we need if you ever report a fault with a specific handset.
Ordering more
Phones are ordered through us rather than configured by you. Tell us how many and for which roles, and we deliver them pre-configured so they work when plugged in. Hardware is a paid addition, and we confirm what it means for your agreement first.
