Which plan is right for a team of fifty

At fifty agents the question changes from features to control. That is usually what decides between Professional and Enterprise.

Professional is the usual answer

At fifty agents you are measuring things, routing work rather than letting people pick, and running side conversations with other departments. Professional covers all of that, and for many organisations of this size it is where they stay.

What pushes you to Enterprise

  • Custom roles. At fifty people, "agent" and "admin" stop being enough. You want a team lead who can edit views but not billing.
  • A sandbox with configuration deployment. Once changes affect fifty people, testing in production stops being acceptable.
  • Multiple schedules. Teams in different countries or covering different hours.
  • Separation you can prove. Private groups and restrictions by brand, where some queues must not be visible to everyone.
  • The audit log, when you need to answer who changed what.

The honest test

At this size the cost difference across fifty seats is substantial, so it is worth being precise. Go through the list above and count how many genuinely apply. One is usually not enough. Three is a clear answer.

Add-ons start making sense here

What was premature at ten agents often is not at fifty. Workforce Management earns its place once scheduling is real work, and Quality Assurance once nobody can review everything by hand. Both are per agent, so the sums are large enough to model rather than guess.

This is the size where the wrong plan gets expensive both ways. Too low and you build workarounds; too high and you pay for control you never use. Talk it through with us before a renewal rather than after.
