Put click-to-call inside Salesforce, so reps who live in the CRM never have to switch windows to dial.
Lightning only. This integration does not work with Salesforce Classic. Check which interface your org uses before planning around it.
What it adds
Phone numbers on records become clickable and place the call over Wildix. The activity is logged against the record without anyone writing it up.
This is the mirror of the x-bees integration. That one brings Salesforce into x-bees; this one puts calling into Salesforce. Teams that spend the day in the CRM want this one.
Set it up
- Install the Wildix component in your Salesforce org.
- Authorise the connection.
- Make the dialler available to the profiles that need it.
- Test from a record with a phone number.
All of this needs Salesforce administrator rights.
Number format again
Click-to-call works from whatever is on the record. Numbers stored inconsistently produce calls that fail or reach the wrong place. Cleaning up formats before rollout saves a fortnight of complaints.
If the button does nothing
- The user's plan. x-bees Standard or higher, per person.
- Profile permissions. The dialler has to be enabled for their Salesforce profile.
- Classic. If they switched to Classic, it will not appear.
