Send and receive fax without a fax machine, straight from Collaboration 7 or as a PDF in your inbox.
Still relevant in some sectors
Healthcare, legal and public bodies still send fax, and often will not accept email as a substitute. Having it work without a physical machine removes the last reason to keep one plugged in.
Receiving
Incoming faxes arrive as a PDF, in Collaboration 7 and optionally by email. No paper, no machine, and it does not matter whether anyone is in the office.
Sending
Send from Collaboration 7 by attaching a document. There is also a fax printer for Windows and macOS, which lets you print to fax from any application, which is usually the easier route for anyone used to a machine.
Setting it up
Fax needs a number and the right configuration. We are happy to help you put that in place, so everything lines up. Tell us whether you need to send, receive or both, and which number should be used.
If you still have a physical fax machine, it needs a licence of its own, though the cheapest one. UC-Basic or x-bees Device covers an unattended device like that.
When a fax fails
Fax is unforgiving of line quality in a way voice is not. A page that fails repeatedly to one recipient is usually their end or the route, not your document. Note the destination number and the time and send it to us.
