Add your Wildix email signature

Plan requirement

Subscription x-bees Standard or higher, UC-Business or higher (Collaboration 7)

Put a click-to-call or click-to-chat link in your email signature, so customers reach you without dialling anything.

Why it works

A phone number in a signature has to be copied into a phone. A link is one click, from the device they are already reading on. The difference in how many people get in touch is larger than it sounds.

It also works outside office hours: someone reading your email at 22:00 can start a message or book a slot instead of making a note to call tomorrow, which they will not.

Generating it

  1. Open Settings in Collaboration 7 or x-bees and generate the signature block. Both can do it, so the link comes out formatted and clickable rather than as raw text. Take it with Copy to clipboard, or Download file if your mail client wants a file.
  2. Copy the block.
  3. Paste it into your mail client's signature settings, as formatted text rather than plain. Paste it as plain text and the link becomes a line of characters.
  4. Send yourself a test message and click the link from a phone, which is where most people will meet it.

It does not update itself. Change your photo, your name or anything else in your profile and the signature you pasted months ago still carries the old details. Generate a new one and paste it again, otherwise the first thing a customer sees is out of date.

Which link to use

  • Kite on Collaboration 7, for a click-to-call or click-to-chat button.
  • Your contact-me link on x-bees, which also lets people book a slot if your calendar is connected.

Keep your phone number in the signature as well. Some people will always prefer to dial, and a signature offering only a link looks evasive to them.

Rolling it out to a team

Signatures are usually managed centrally. If you want everyone to have one, generate a template and have whoever manages your mail set it up, rather than asking forty people to do it individually.
