Plan requirement
| Subscription | Any plan |
Yes. The plan type is per user and only the subscription term is shared, though the cheapest mix is not always the most obvious one.
Why mixing is the point
Plans exist so you pay for what people actually do. A phone in the warehouse that nobody logs into does not need what a sales rep needs, and putting everyone on the same plan means overpaying for most of them or underserving some.
A typical company runs three or four plan types side by side.
But not always. Licences come in volume tiers, so putting more people on the same plan can work out better than splitting across three types. Which is cheaper depends on your numbers. Ask us to work it out rather than assuming the smallest plan per person wins.
What is shared, what is not
- Shared across the system: the subscription term. All users follow the same one.
- Per user: the plan type, which you can change whenever you like.
Moving someone
In WMS, go to Users, edit the person and set the License type. It takes effect immediately, as long as you hold a free licence of that type.
