Start taking calls on your existing numbers through CLASSOUND within days instead of waiting for the port to complete.
What it solves
A full port of your numbers takes two weeks or more. Instant Virtual Porting bridges that gap: you receive calls to your existing numbers through CLASSOUND almost immediately, while the real port runs its course in the background.
How it works
- You get temporary CLASSOUND numbers, usually within two days of the porting order.
- At your current provider, you forward each existing number to its temporary number.
- Calls now reach your Wildix system through CLASSOUND, while your callers keep dialling the numbers they always have.
- When the port completes, the temporary numbers are switched off and calls arrive through CLASSOUND directly. Nothing needs changing on your side.
Your dial plan is built around your original numbers throughout, which is why nothing has to be reconfigured at the end. We take care of that part.
Emergency calls do not work until the full port is finished. Outgoing calls to emergency services are unavailable for the whole bridging period. Make sure everyone in the building knows to use a mobile until the port completes, and take this into account before choosing this route.
What you have to arrange
The call forwarding at your current provider is yours to set up, because only you can instruct them. Ask them what it costs and how quickly they can do it, since some providers charge per forwarded call and some take days to action the request.
If you have a block of numbers, the temporary numbers come as a matching block, so the forwarding can usually be set up in one instruction rather than number by number.
Arranging it
Instant Virtual Porting has to be requested when the porting order is placed, not afterwards. Tell us you want it at the same time as you send us the numbers to port.
