Sometimes, and the window is short. What to do first, and why restoring access has to come before the export.
Act quickly
An expired account is not immediately erased, and access to it is limited and time-bound. The sooner you ask, the more options exist.
Waiting to see whether it resolves itself is the one approach that reliably makes it worse.
Do this first
- Contact pluscloud support today, saying what you need out.
- Resolve whatever caused the expiry, usually an unpaid invoice.
- Once access is restored, export before anything else.
Restore first, export second
Exporting normally requires a working account. Getting the account back into a usable state is therefore the prerequisite, not an alternative to the export.
Export everything at once
Tickets, users, organisations, and your help centre content and theme. Doing it in stages risks the window closing between them.
Why accounts expire
Almost always a payment problem: an expired card, or invoices going to somebody who left. Both are preventable, and both are worth fixing while you are in there.
Afterwards
Set billing to a shared mailbox, confirm the account owner still works there, and put the renewal date in a calendar. Those three prevent a repeat.
